Two 18-year-olds arrested for tire slashing spree across city
Good evening, Bellingham!
Two 18-year-olds were arrested early Wednesday morning for what police described as a rash of tire slashings across Bellingham and Whatcom County. Officers seem to have picked them up at 6 AM in Cornwall Park for the tire slashing spree.
At a Glance
Activity clustered in two windows: the early morning hours when officers served several vandalism arrests, and a late afternoon stretch from 5-7 PM that saw a shoplifting report on Lakeway, a burglary in Cornwall Park, and a death investigation in Happy Valley. The middle of the day however, was relatively quiet.
Barkley led neighborhoods with four reports, an unusual position for a neighborhood that typically sees less action than downtown or Meridian. The tire slashing arrests account for half of that total however.
Category Breakdown
